Reports to: Service Manager
Pay Type: Hourly $25 to $30 depending on experience
Direct Reports: None
The Service Technician is responsible for serving our customers and performing equipment and machine repairs and training. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance both on-site and on customer job sites. The service technician may install and test products and provide customers with instructions on the proper usage of the product. To be successful you should have excellent technical and mechanical skills. You should have experience with basic hand, power, and diagnostic tools, be physically fit to lift heavy equipment and work in outdoor environments.
You will be expected to demonstrate a great work ethic and lead your team by example. You will interact and collaborate with customers, the warehouse team, and office staff daily.
Requirements
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Answering telephone inquiries and assisting clients
• Installing and testing products, equipment, and machinery and providing instructions to customers on the proper usage of equipment
• Using diagnostic tools to identify issues and evaluate the available information
• Ensure all equipment is clean, tagged, and properly stored
• Complete service on shop vehicles
• Ensure vehicles are clean and well maintained
• Complete inventory of shop supplies
• Perform appropriate documentation
• Complete service calls as needed
• Assist with job set up/take down as needed
• Account for inventory and time while on service calls
• Keep the shop clean and organized
• Assist with Warehouse organization as needed
• Stock and received items as they come in
• Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager
Skills and Experience Required
• Previous Service Technician Experience Preferred
• Valid Driver’s License required
