Location: East Rutherford, NJ (Onsite and Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Salary Range: $110,000–$145,000 (commensurate with experience)
Reports To: PlanetAV COO
Brief Description
The Senior Manager of Badging Operations will oversee the day-to-day execution of delivering our Badging services to our clients for events scheduled worldwide. Reporting to our PlanetAV COO, this role will ensure our badging and RFID systems are scalable and integrated with TWST services and initiatives. The role requires excellent technical acumen, meticulous project management skills, and live onsite event experience with complex requirements. The role will engage with new and existing clients on job specs, logistics, work orders, and invoicing services rendered.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Manage Badging & RFID Events
Direct daily operations of the badging services
Streamline workflow to scale badging operations, ensuring efficiency and alignment with company growth goals
Lead a small team of badging specialists, fostering collaboration and ensuring high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines
Manage badging vendors and independent contractors, while evaluating solutions to optimize costs for our clients and the business
Manage and book travel logistics for specialists, contractors, and equipment while adhering to corporate travel and expense policies
Supervise logistics for Badging
Delegate pre-production & production event tasks, and manage all freight shipments
Directly produce the largest Badging events
Liaise with hotels/venues regarding COIs, Venue policies, load in/out times, etc.
Work with clients on their vision for registration and schedule printing equipment layouts
Innovate the badging service and department as a whole, with senior TWST management
Facilities Management
Establish organization of Badging equipment in the warehouse
Assist stress-test all new Badging equipment
Assist packers with questions/needs for all events
Manage badging equipment
Maintain the New Jersey storage location inventory
Maintain the New York office storage location inventory
Maintain the Brazil storage location inventory
Maintain the UK storage location badging inventory
General Administration
Engage with new and existing Badging clients to assist with selling/upselling and closing of badging prospects
Responsible for conducting annual performance reviews and developing performance metrics
Recruit and hire badging talent to scale operations
Schedule all badging technicians based on event requirements
Book all badging technicians' travel logistics
Review and approve Client Work Orders, invoices and billable expenses
Education and Experience
5-7 years of on-site live event management or experience in managing operations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technology, or related field
Proven expertise with badging platforms or related systems
ZPL and YAML coding background
