Are you the type of efficient and goal-oriented person who would excel in a back office Administrative Assistant position? Tx:Team is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our team at Frederick Health Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab Outpatient Clinics, a part of Frederick Health in Frederick, Maryland.
The details:
This is a busy, fast paced outpatient rehabilitation clinic which provides Physical Therapy services to the community. We are looking for an energetic candidate to perform the duties of Administrative Assistant and who will make every patient experience a great one.

Hours for the position are Monday – Friday. No weekends. No holidays.
The ideal candidate:
- Excited to join a thriving an energetic team
- Two (2) years medical office administrative experience required. Experience in a rehabilitation department is a plus.
- Experience completing patient insurance authorizations and verifications
- Two (2) years minimum experience using an EMR medical software and patient scheduling system required
- Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook, including accurate typing and data entry skills
- Experience with prescriptions and physician referrals
- Ability to interact with physician office staff, insurance providers, teammates, and patients
- Excellent work habits with close attention to deadlines and detail-oriented assignments
- Ability to multi-task
- Work independently with provided instructions
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
The responsibilities:
- Answer phones
- Schedule patient appointments
- Perform office supply inventory weekly
- Organize & compile patient charts for therapists
- Perform patient registration upon first visit, including Patient Information and Health History forms
- Input patient transactions, collect co-pays
- Assist with completion and transmission of all daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting as needed
- Perform required procedures to close clinic at the end of the day. Activities include financial reconciliation, daily deposits, and report preparation and transmission
The requirements:
- Two (2) years medical office administrative experience
- Required education: High School or equivalent
