Business Unit BAMG - Aiken PSR Management Level Para-Professional Job Category Production & Skilled Trades Position Summary Bridgestone's Passenger and Light Truck Tire (PSR/LTR) and Off Road Radial Tire (AOR) plants located in Aiken County, SC is looking for Machine Technicians (MT). Between the 2 plants, they currently employ approximately 1,900 team members. Applicants will be applying for consideration at either the PSR/LTR or AOR tire facility. Responsibilities A Machine Technician is responsible for all aspects of machine operation which includes following specific formulas to keep the machines loaded with the proper amounts of raw materials. Observes production, and monitors equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Loads and unloads materials and transports them to and from designated areas. Grinds and buffs tires and loads or unloads tires onto racks. Physical Requirements •Ability to stand two hours without sitting •Manual dexterity to operate buttons, levers, and tire material •Ability to lift 50 pounds •Physical mobility to squat, stoop, bend, climb, and walk •Ability to push/pull 600 pound carts requiring 30 pounds of force •Correctable vision and hearing •Good balance and equilibrium Minimum Qualifications Our Team Members must be extremely flexible and comfortable participating in a team environment. Successful candidates will meet the following requirements: •Must be willing and have the ability to work rotating swing shifts •Must be willing to learn and have the ability to operate multiple pieces of equipment •Must be able to meet and maintain all expected behavioral characteristics Preferred: Previous industrial/manufacturing experience and high school diploma or G.E.D.
