We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our team in the Williamsburg, Kentucky plant. This facility produces Air Springs for the Automotive and Heavy vehicle industries. More than 550 teammates work in this 365,000 square foot facility, with a current 68,000 square foot expansion underway. The Maintenance Manager position focuses on planning, designing and implementing maintenance programs to optimize the availability and productivity of manufacturing facilities and equipment. In this position you will manage experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments. Problems faced are difficult to moderately complex. This position requires the ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and the ability to communicate and influence executive leadership on a frequent basis. Responsibilities Develops & implements strategy and policy for short/long term results and influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices, and procedures. Particularly, in terms of equipment reliability and upgrades needed. Influences, coaches, and develops, succession planning, etc. Manages team to apply repair and maintenance engineering principles to deliver customer technical/functional specifications, budget adherence, automation/continuous improvement of processes, and cost/efficiency requirements Creates and manages institutional knowledge Plans and coordinates maintenance engineering work, including review of mechanical and electrical engineering specifications Performs engineering review of proposed new equipment designs to assess reliability, ease of maintenance, and availability of replacement parts Liaises with production staff to coordinate repair work, statutory safety inspections and supply of new plant and equipment with production schedules Participates in the installation and commissioning of new equipment Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders Advocate for developing Skilled Trades team members from both a Career & Technology standpoint Preferred Qualifications: Automotive Experience Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Downtime and Equipment Reliability Tracking Experience in developing Preventative & Predictive Maintenance programs Capital Planning – Overall general experience managing budgets Experience with robotic maintenance - Servo Drives Minimum Qualifications 5 years Manufacturing experience in a Management role Degree preferred Bridgestone is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
