Position Overview
Tybee Island Watersports is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Reservationist to join our team. This role is essential in providing guests with a seamless booking experience, managing daily reservations, and ensuring smooth customer check-ins. The Reservationist will also oversee our retail and merchandise operations at the reservation office. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a friendly, professional demeanor when interacting with guests.
Key ResponsibilitiesReservations & Customer Service
- Handle incoming phone calls and online inquiries for bookings and reservations.
- Assist guests in selecting the best rental or tour experience based on their needs.
- Manage and modify existing reservations, including rescheduling and cancellations.
- Provide accurate information on pricing, policies, and procedures.
Check-In & Waivers
- Greet guests upon arrival and guide them through the check-in process.
- Ensure all customers complete the necessary waivers and safety forms before their activity.
- Maintain an organized and efficient customer flow for scheduled departures.
Retail & Merchandise Management
- Oversee the retail section of the reservation office, including inventory tracking and sales.
- Assist customers with merchandise purchases, including apparel, accessories, and souvenirs.
- Maintain a well-stocked and visually appealing retail space.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-energy environment.
- Comfortable handling phone reservations and working with booking software.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with reservation systems (training provided).
- Retail or sales experience is a plus.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
Work Environment & Requirements
- This is a customer-facing position requiring a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Must be comfortable working in an outdoor/coastal environment.
- Weekend and holiday availability may be required during peak season.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 55 per week
