The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the production floor in a medical device manufacturing facility. This role ensures that products are manufactured efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with regulatory standards (such as FDA, ISO 13485). The manager leads a team of production staff, implements process improvements, and collaborates cross-functionally to maintain high-quality standards and meet production goals.
Requirements
- Supervise and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with quality standards
- Lead and develop a team of production supervisors, technicians, and operators
- Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO 13485) and company SOPs
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to optimize production processes
- Manage production budgets and resource planning
- Support new product introductions and scale-up manufacturing processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in the medical device industry
- Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and ISO 13485
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills
