Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from planning to completion. The Construction Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while adhering to safety regulations and client specifications. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including contractors, architects, engineers, and clients.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Selects, contracts, and oversees contractors for specific needs.
· Supervises each contractor and subcontractor to ensure that work meets quality standards and adheres to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan, organize, and manage all phases of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
· Oversee and direct construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient workflow and project milestones are met.
· Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements and building codes.
· Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders, addressing any delays or issues promptly.
· Manage project budgets, track expenses, and approve payments to contractors and suppliers.
· Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies. Enforcing safety procedures, minimizing risk, ensuring the use of protective clothing, hard-hat, and other safety equipment
· Conduct site inspections to verify quality of work and resolve any technical or logistical challenges.
· Negotiate contracts, manage change orders, and maintain accurate documentation for all project-related activities.
· Foster positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and local authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
· Mitigate risks by anticipating potential problems and implementing effective solutions.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management or a similar role.
· Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
· Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
· Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar tools).
· Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
· Familiarity with local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations.
· CCM, CCAM or other relevant certifications are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to visit and navigate construction sites, including climbing ladders and working in various weather conditions.
· Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
