Tyler Junior College is actively searching for highly motivated and experienced individuals to join our esteemed faculty team in the Continuing Education department. Essential Functions and Duties
- Deliver high-quality instruction and training to adult learners in your respective courses
Develop engaging lesson plans, course materials, and assessments that align with industry standards and best practices
Adapt instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of adult learners
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting active participation and collaboration among students
Provide constructive feedback and support to students to facilitate their learning and skill development
Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and advancements to ensure course content remains up to date and relevant
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades and evaluations
Competencies
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven experience in instructional design and curriculum development preferred
Previous teaching experience in continuing education, adult education or vocational training settings is desirable
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate students' schedules
Qualifications
Required Education / Experience
Current professional certifications such as QuickBooks ProAdvisor Online, QuickBooks ProAdvisor Advanced Online, or relevant industry certifications if applicable

Part-Time Retirement
Part-time employees are required to participate in the part-time retirement fund. The retirement fund is invested in a group fixed annuity contract with Ohio National Life Insurance Company. The plan will provide you and your beneficiary with fully vested cash settlement or income benefits after termination of employment for any reason.
