DESCRIPTION
A Student Assistant (SA) at TJC plays an important role in promoting the mission of the college. The student assistant in this position must be willing and able to report to an off-campus location in Tyler to perform various clerical tasks that aid in maintaining an organized workflow by performing project tasks as assigned by the Technical Services department at Tyler Public Library.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with the organization of donated items.
- Pull materials from organized lists following alphanumeric organization
- Assist as needed in the preparation of physical processing of materials for public use
- Assist and interact with the general public

QUALIFICATIONS
Students must be registered in at least two undergraduate classes and maintain enrollment status to work in these positions. Students must qualify for Federal Work Study, which will be determined by the Office of Financial Aid. Student must maintain satisfactory academic progress (2.0 GPA,67% pace rate, will not exceed 150% of their degree plan).
Additional Job Specific Requirements
Students are allowed to work a maximum of eighteen (18) hours per week and cannot work in multiple hourly positions. A work week is Sunday-Saturday.
