Tyler Pipe & Coupling is seeking 2nd and 3rd shift Injection Molding Machine Operators. 2nd Shift Hours are Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm. 3rd Shift Hours are Sunday night-Thursday night 10:30pm-7am with OT as needed. 2nd shift pay is $18.13 per hour, 3rd shift pay is $18.53
Overview
Responsible for operating all injection molding machines producing rubber gaskets to be used in joining systems.

Responsibilities
1. Operates all injection molding machines to produce rubber gaskets. Must be able to meet production goals.
2. Responsible for maintaining a constant watch on machine operations to ensure quality of product. Notifies lead person of any possible machine malfunctions.
3. Relieves other injection mold operators for breaks when needed.
4. May operate a minimum of two injection molding machines at the same time, unless otherwise directed by management.
5. Trains other operators as required.
6. Dumps scrap container at least three times during each shift.
7. Cleans equipment at the close of each shift.
8. Keeps work area safe, clean and orderly at all times.
Qualifications
Education: Requires above average machine knowledge and quality requirements in a specialized process. Four years of High School or the equivalent is preferred.
Experience: Manufacturing experience preferred.
Initiative and Ingenuity: Requires the ability to work from detailed instructions and make minor decisions involving the use of some judgment in efficiently operating one or more injection molding machines. Makes general decisions in observing production. May make minor adjustments to achieve required quality. Trains other operators as required.
Physical Demand: Light physical effort working regularly with lightweight material or occasionally with average weight material when emptying scrap container.
Mental or Visual Demand: Continuous mental and visual attention required in operating equipment and inspecting for required quality. Trimming of parts required.
Responsibility for Equipment or Process: Probable damage to equipment or process when cleaning molds could be exceedingly high reaching several thousand dollars.
Responsibility for Safety of Others: Only reasonable care to own work necessary to prevent injury to others, and accidents, if they should occur, would be minor in nature, such as cuts, bruises, burns or abrasions.
Responsibility for Work of Others: Trains and oversees work of new operators.
Working Conditions: Continuous exposure to heat, cold, noise and smoke that is particularly disagreeable.
