We are seeking a highly motivated and visionary Executive Director to lead TRF’s strategic growth, operational management, and fundraising efforts, ensuring a lasting impact on the families we serve.
Position Overview
The Executive Director (ED) is the principal officer of TRF, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the foundation’s operations, financial health, and program delivery. The ED serves as the public face of the organization, representing TRF to donors, families, government agencies, and community stakeholders. This role includes administration, member and donor engagement, strategic partnerships, and event oversight, reporting directly to the Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Organizational Oversight
Develop and execute a strategic plan in collaboration with the Board of Directors to expand TRF’s reach and resources.
Oversee programmatic, organizational, and financial plans, ensuring alignment with TRF’s mission.
Maintain a working knowledge of trends in pediatric cancer care, nonprofit management, and donor engagement.
Provide transparent and timely reporting to the Board on organizational performance and goals.
Fundraising, Partnerships, & Development
Lead fundraising efforts, including sponsorships, grants, and donor cultivation, to ensure long-term financial sustainability.
Build and maintain relationships with corporate sponsors, foundations, and individual donors.
Oversee annual fundraising events and campaigns, working with stakeholders to ensure success.
Explore and secure grant opportunities to enhance TRF’s program offerings.
Community Engagement & Advocacy
Serve as the public face and voice of TRF, advocating for its mission and programs to media, government, and the community.
Establish collaborative relationships with healthcare providers, government entities, and other nonprofits.
Promote TRF’s programs and impact through effective marketing, storytelling, and public relations.
Enhance TRF’s digital presence, including website and social media engagement.
Event Planning & Execution
Plan and execute impactful fundraising and community events, from inception to production.
Work with TRF leadership to host exclusive meetings and engagements with key stakeholders.
Foster opportunities for community connection through networking events, family support initiatives, and awareness campaigns.
Operational & Financial Management
Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the Board, ensuring financial accountability and sustainability.
Oversee day-to-day operations, including compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and mission-driven culture.
Ensure efficient administrative processes, including documentation, reporting, and legal compliance.
Qualifications
Required
Leadership Experience: At least 7–10 years of senior leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
Fundraising Skills: Proven ability to secure sponsorships, grants, and donor contributions.
Strategic Vision: Demonstrated success in developing and executing long-term organizational plans.
Operational Expertise: Strong financial acumen, team leadership, and project management skills.
Mission Alignment: Deep passion for TRF’s mission and commitment to supporting families impacted by pediatric cancer.
Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Preferred
Knowledge of pediatric cancer care or family support services.
Experience working with a Board of Directors and managing diverse stakeholders. Familiarity with the Las Vegas community and its resources is a plus.
Work Conditions
Full-time position requiring approximately 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend availability for events or meetings.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range is $110,000 to $150,000 annually (commensurate with experience) in addition to a competitive bonus structure.
