Job Summary
We are seeking a Bridge Designer to join TYLin’s Bridge Sector. Our New Jersey offices are seeking a recent grad for projects including conceptual planning, through design, construction, and completion. The role of Bridge Designer will be to work with team members of large bridge projects.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Perform structural analysis and prepare design calculations.
- Develop or assist in developing structural details and construction plans.
- Prepare geometric / bridge layouts, construction specifications, and material quantity calculations.
- Strong technical and communication skills with a commitment to quality.
- Familiarity with AASHTO and NJDOT/NJTA/PennDOTdesign and standards preferred.
- Computer skills desired include Finite Element Software, Bridge Design Software, Microsoft Office, Computer Aided Drafting (Microstation preferred).
- Familiarity with developing 3-D analysis models.
QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on bridges or structures from an ABET Accredited University.
- 2-5 years of bridge design and analysis experience.
- EIT license
