The Site Manager works under the guidance of the Program Manager. The Site Manager leads a team in Organizational level repair of C-147A and UV-18C aircraft systems to include troubleshooting, inspection, modifications, removal and installation of components, and operation of all aircraft systems. The Site Manager must be knowledgeable of company policies, management systems for timekeeping, parts ordering, and personnel counseling, as well as documentation of U.S. Army maintenance discrepancies in aircraft forms and Integrated Maintenance Data System to include In-Process Inspections (IP's) verification and safety-of-flight conditions.
Duties
- Planning, monitoring, coordinating, and reviewing all aspects of Maintenance and management of the U.S. Army Parachute Team's fleet of aircraft.
- Supervise a staff of 14 aircraft maintenance and support employees in multiple roles.
- Utilize organizational databases such as Costpoint, Tyonek One, and SharePoint daily to support various program activities.
- Maintaining weekly, monthly and quarterly project status updates for the Program Manager.
- Following up the progress of program action items and other tasks and reporting to the Program Manager.
- Ensure timely delivery of all required reports in accordance with the Performance Work Statement and company policy.
- Have full comprehension and ensure compliance with the requirements outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Ground Operating Procedures (GOPs).Work with Program Manager to maintain customer awareness of work status and schedule delays.
- Collaborate with the procurement and finance teams to create and facilitate the conversion of Purchase Requests (PRs) into Purchase Orders (POs) ensuring that all necessary information, such as quantities, specifications, and delivery timelines, is accurately transposed from PRs to POs.
- Update the Program Manager on the status of Purchase Orders, highlighting any potential delays or issues.
- Perform inventory control activities by coordinating with Logistics Department to track incoming items and stored inventory for accountability purposes.
- Liaison between employees and human resources, information technology and other functional areas of the company
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent with at least 10 years of task-related experience.
- 5 years' experience in contract maintenance
- 5 years of management and leadership experience in an aviation maintenance environment.
- Ability to maintain positive and effective oral and written communication with the government customer, employees, and corporate staff
- Must have an in-depth working knowledge of aircraft safety directives, aircraft/vehicle movement, flight line operations, aircraft technical orders/publications (read, interpret, follow and comprehend schematics, diagrams, drawings, charts and technical publications)
- Aircraft maintenance experience: with the C-147A and UV-18C aircraft is highly desired.
- Strong problem-solving skills: ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations for problem resolution.
- High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with external stakeholders such as customers, vendors, suppliers, shipping companies, etc.
- Capability to learn and comprehend corporate policies and procedures, along with their alignment with the objectives of Tyonek Native Corporation.
