GENERAL DESCRIPTION
At Tyonek, we're looking for engineering students who want to work with both hardware and software design to support the defense of our nation. We need students that have a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and troubleshooting skills. Interns will be in-person and full time (40-hours) during the summer break from May to August. The start and end dates are flexible based on semester end and start dates
DUTIES
- Create, update, maintain, and execute test procedures
- Document process and all testing data
- Work closely with engineer on hardware and test software design
- Problem Solve/Debug/Troubleshoot
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
- Other Duties as Assigned
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 3rd or 4th year student pursuing a degree in electrical, computer, or software engineering preferred - expected graduate in 2023 or 2024
- Programming in C; C and Java a plus
- Experience with Testing PCB and Electronic Systems
- Experience with Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Multi-meters
- Good working knowledge of MS Office software.
- Creative mind to troubleshoot, find and resolve problems.
- Must be a US citizen

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces and sit for certain periods throughout the day.

- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp, or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders
- May be required to lift up to 25 pounds and carry for short distances.
- Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
- Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions
