General Description
The Maintenance Technician Lead position is responsible for performing diverse duties. These duties may include installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on production and facility equipment and infrastructure. In addition, the lead position will have some administrative type duties. All duties will comply with all safety and maintenance systems and processes to support the execution of the facilities' business goals and objectives.
Duties
- Complete tasks required to install and maintain production and facility equipment
- Perform required emergency/unscheduled repairs on production and facility equipment
- Complete scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance tasks on production and facility equipment. Equipment to include CNC machining equipment, manual machining equipment, coating equipment, electronics manufacturing equipment, and test equipment. Facility equipment to include HVAC systems, electrical systems, lighting systems, ventilation systems, and mechanical systems
- Perform mechanical skilled tasks including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair
- Read and interpret machine manuals to identify and complete scheduled maintenance and repair tasks
- Diagnose and repair equipment using electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
- Perform and document Root Cause analysis on equipment failures
- Perform general facility infrastructure repairs and maintenance including drywall, painting, carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
- Maintain a Computerized Maintenance Management System including repair and maintenance parts inventory and work order completion and scheduling
- Identify and order repair or replacement parts
- Experience with operation and maintenance of complex fire suppression systems to include fire pumps, high expansion foam generator systems, preconnected hose lines, and standard wet and dry sprinkler systems.
- Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Uses maintenance reports to recommend predictive maintenance procedures and equipment replacement scheduling
- Use standard hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
- Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition
- Good communication skills required to convey pertinent information to management
- Use complex measuring and testing equipment to diagnose and predict equipment and facility systems failures
- Performs any additional duties assigned by management
- Complete all tasks in compliance with all company safety procedures and policies
- Other duties as assigned
- LEAD DUTIES
a. Communicate with facilities management to develop program plans to include Scope of work, costs, and scheduling
b. Coordinate with outside vendors who will perform work onsite
c. Assist with work task assignments for maintenance technicians
d. Track inventory and assist with parts and supplies procurement
e. Coordinate with internal process owners to schedule required maintenance, repairs, and projects
f. Additional administrative duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Required. Associates degree in a technical/ engineering discipline a plus
- 9-12 years related industrial maintenance experience required
- Experience with Machine Shop equipment a plus
- Experience with operation and maintenance of an aircraft hangar facility a plus
- HVAC EPA 608 Universal certification a plus
- Formal Electrical, HVAC, and Maintenance training a plus
- Basic computer skills required (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)
- Computerized Maintenance Management Software experience required. (Manager experience a plus)
- Good communication skills required
- Strong problem solving skills required
- Ability to work flex and overtime schedule as business needs dictate

- Ability to work in hot and cold environments as required
