GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Maintenance Test Pilot will support Aviation Field and Sustainment Level Maintenance on the C-147A and UV-18C non-standard fix-wing aircraft.
DUTIES:
- The Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP)/Functional Check Pilot (FCP) will be proficient in flying operations of the US Army Parachute Team's mission requirements and will need to possess a current valid Second-Class Medical Certificate.
- MTP/FCP should be aircraft qualified and shall perform aircrew duties IAW applicable Pilot Operating Handbook manuals, USAPT Aircrew Training Manuals in support of Maintenance Test Flights, Functional Test Flights, Currency Flights, and Ground Runs.
- The MTP will provide in-progress assistance to contractor and/or government maintenance personnel regarding problems detected during maintenance procedures.
- Travel in support of detachment operations up to 40%
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualified candidates will possess an instrument rating on their FAA Commercial Certificate.
- The MTP shall undergo an initial and annual flight evaluation conducted IAW AR 95-1 and all appropriate ATM tasks, and must pass initial, and maintain currency IAW USAPT Operation Procedures.
- Must possess an FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
- Work is subject to performance on weekends and holidays, days and nights as required.
- Aviators previously qualified in US Army Parachute Teams MDS (UV-18A and/or UV-18C and/or C-147A) aircraft. (Desired)
- Previous experience working on Military fixed-wing aircraft. (Desired)
- 7000 Total Hours/3500 Fixed-Wing Hours/2000 Fixed-Wing PIC Hours. (Desired)
- This position will require U.S. citizenship.
- Capability to learn and comprehend corporate policies and procedures, along with their alignment with the objectives of Tyonek Native Corporation.

- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands, and access to top of aircraft using proper fall protection devices.
- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
- May be required to lift equipment, tools, and toolboxes up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
- Must be able to walk distances and stand for periods of time to complete maintenance.
- Must be able to work in austere conditions when necessary.
