What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineering Intern position at Tyonek Native Corporation?
General Description
This a Quality Engineering internship position. The candidate will support the Quality Assurance team with planning and execution of quality inspections for new and existing products.
Duties
- Create, update, and maintain AS9102 First Article Inspection forms utilizing SolidWorks
- Work closely with Quality Engineering and Mechanical Quality Assurance to create measurement reports for customers
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
- Other Duties as Assigned
Education/Experience Requirements
- Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 1st or 2nd year student with a minimum GPA of 3.25 preferred.
- Familiarity with technical drawings and SolidWorks preferred
- Good working knowledge of MS Office software.
- Creative mind to troubleshoot, find and resolve problems.

- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands, working at heights with fall protection devices.
- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
- May be required to lift up to 25 pounds and carry for short distances.
- Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
- Normally works in an office setting with controlled temperature.
