What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN RN position at Tyson Eye?
Tyson Eye has been providing exceptional service in SWFL for over 35 years. We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to assist in cataract, glaucoma and corneal surgery. He/she is the patient advocate and assures that quality care is administered. This position will report to the ASC Manager. This position will require travel between our Cape Coral and Naples surgery center. Both Full and Part Time candidates will be considered for this position.

- Registered and must have their license to practice in the state of Florida.
- Maintain re-licensure requirements.
- One-year experience in a surgical specialty, ICU or related field preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certified.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Plans for patient care. Oversees the Patient Care Technician.
- Assists in the proper preparation of supplies, equipment and medication involved in patient care.
- Administers medication as ordered and according to facility and DEA policy and procedures.
- Makes post-operative telephone calls.
- Starts and discontinues intravenous lines and documents appropriately. Regulates and documents infusion.
- Performs treatments and/or procedures as instructed.
- Establish nursing goals based on nursing diagnosis and evaluate outcome.
- Assists in organizing and developing policies and procedures and plans for improvement.
