SUMMARY Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment by performing the following duties. Requirements · Must have at least 1 year electrical experience in an industrial environment. · You must have 1 year of continuous employment at your most recent employer · Must have good verbal and written communication skills. · Must have good oral communication skills to discuss issues with the Power Systems Manager. · Must be able to understand information contained in Electrical manuals and blue prints. · Completion of electrician apprenticeship is a plus. You will be responsible for installing and repairing complex electrical controls, wiring, and lighting systems. To perform this role, you must have an electricians degree from a technical college and at least 1 year experience in an industrial environment working on simple and complex electrical systems. Responsibilities · Install maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems. · Read technical diagrams and blueprints. · Perform general electrical maintenance. · Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components. · Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices. · Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures. · Follow National Electrical Code, state and local building regulations. · Circuit breaker corrective maintenance. · Good knowledge of various test equipment. · Have worked with 480 volts and 3 phase motors. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must have a valid state driver’s license, or the ability to obtain one. Maintain an updated forklift drivers license (renewable every two years).
