Job Details:

The General Production Class 2 is to help out in the overall production within the plant. This position will fill in any position on the line. This person will be the fill in for people on vacation, Leave of Absence, sick days, etc. Flexibility is very important as job positions will vary on a day-to-day basis. Starting times can vary, must be able to work weekends.

DUTIES:

Positions may include but are not limited to:

Inspection Rework Packing Skid Stacker Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to read a weight scale.
• Must be able to communicate clearly via phone, in person, and in writing.
• Must be able to work using a calculator.
• Must have good record keeping skills.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions.
• Must be willing to work from Monday to Saturday, Sunday work may also be required.
• Must have basic computer skills to enter data into the Plant View computer system.
  
  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
• Must be able to work in a wet environment.
• Must be able to work in a cold/hot environment.
• Must be able to work with spices; i.e black pepper, STP.
• Must be physically able to push tanks/buggies full of product.
• Must be able to perform duties while standing for duration of shift.
• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
• Must be able to use a walk behind jack.

Rehire Consideration:

• Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.
