What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR-Workplace Solutions Spring Intern position at U-Haul?

Under the direction of the Manager, the Workplace Solutions Intern is responsible for coordination and recordkeeping for programs such as, but not limited to, workers' authorizations / immigration, background checks, Record of Employment, and technology development.
I nternship Schedule
This internship will require working 15-25 hours per week and will run through the spring semester, from February 3rd to April 11th.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
- Reasonable and predictable attendance is essential.
- Assist with background checks and motor vehicle reports.
- Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Conduct background checks, motor vehicle reports and drug / alcohol testing according to policy.
- Collaborate with Third Party Vendors to ensure information is distributed accurately.
- Maintain strict confidentiality with employee records and information.
- Ensure completed assignments meet deadlines and follow all regulatory, corporate, and departmental standards.
- Provide assistance to other Departments and Business Units, after coordinating with the Manager.
- Stay abreast of new and changing regulations, review and update any all materials and trainings.
- Provide accurate quality customer service and information for all inquiries via phone, fax, mail or e-mail.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
