We are looking to hire Medical Office Assistant to help with staff training, ensuring we are in compliance of day to day operations and client services.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a busy medical office environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. Some of the job duties will entail making and confirming appointments, submitting authorizations, checking and discussing insurance benefits, answering phone calls, checking in/out patients.
Duties
- Manage incoming calls using phone systems, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
- Pre-admission evaluations and interviews with potential clients
- Collect patient information and verify insurance details for billing purposes.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems (will train)
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health information management protocols and confidentiality standards.
- Support office management tasks, including inventory management and supply ordering.
- Collaborate with sober living facilities and other referral sources when necessary to ensure seamless patient care across services.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role in detox and Rehabilitation facility is preferred.
- Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations.
- Familiarity with health information management practices is desirable.
- Proficiency in using phone systems and various office software applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients and healthcare staff alike.
