Accounting/Payroll Clerk and HR Assistant:
U.P. Engineers & Architects, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented full-time Accounting/Payroll Clerk.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in accounting, finance or related field. Three to five years of related experience. Experience with payroll, accounts payable, billing and G.L. accounting principles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
PAYROLL: Process full cycle payroll including salaried and hourly employees’ payroll, benefits, and other deductions. Reconcile, process and pay payroll payables including federal and state taxes, retirement contributions and health care contributions. Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure timely processing of updates, new hires, terminations and pay rate and bonus changes. Serve as the point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and changes. Handle the preparation of all quarterly and Year end payroll tax reports, and filing.
Accounts Payable, Receivables and Billing:
Oversee all aspects of accounts payables including vendor maintenance, W-9 forms, 1099 processing. Maintain, analyze, and reconcile accounts payable ledger accounts. Prepare, record, verify, analyze and report accounts receivable transactions and post customer payments. Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable ledger and financial statements. Complete monthly invoicing/billing of clients with input from Project Managers.
Other Responsibilities:
Handle all health insurance enrollments and deductions. Review and analyze internal self-funded dental insurance claims and program. Handle all employee expense report claims and reimbursements based on given company policies.
