POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resources Manager performs numerous functions related to human resources, payroll, employee relations, providing guidance to employees, management and business operations on a daily basis. The HR Manager is responsible for development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and notices to ensure compliance. The HR Manager works under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources/Senior Management Support with all aspects of the department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Duties performed vary and adapt based on priority, need, and as the company evolves. The HR Manager must be able to work in a, adaptable way that allows for change and deferring to the priority at hand while still performing daily, weekly, and monthly tasks in a timely manner. This position is responsible for preparing and processing payroll, hiring new employees, working with benefit agents, tracking compliance of employees and working with business partners to complete on boarding requirements for all new hires.
A summary of responsibilities, included but not limited to:
- Responsible for biweekly payroll, and reports
- Staying current and up to date with laws and regulations in relation to Human Resources
- Create, maintain, and update HR Documents regularly including Company Handbook, Policies, Procedures, Job Descriptions, Forms, Manuals.
- Assist Director of HR with employee occurrences and concerns. Provide guidance to leaders and/or attend meetings as needed
- Implement and maintain company and employee data within the company’s Human Capital Management (HCM) system (Isolved) Review information regularly for accuracy and update as needed.
- Serve as point of contact for employee questions on timecards, payroll, benefits, and all other information
- Manage employee benefits including benefit time, insurance plans
- Assist in producing all required reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
- Administer trainings/assignments as needed.
- Onboarding and offboarding of employees within the company and maintaining employee files to ensure staff are compliant with current requirements
- Oversee student education program with communication and placement of students/universities with staff.
- Work regularly with partners HR to onboard/offboard employees, provide updated information, and work with evolving compliance needs and audits.
- Work on employee engagement programs related to employee recognition, community events, internal company events and share program.
- Assist with daily operations of the Corporate Office and general office duties as needs arise. Any additional duties as requested by the Owners and Director of Human Resources.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Associate degree| Bachelor’s degree – in Business or Human Resources recommended but not required. Certifications in Human Resources are a plus but not required.
· Minimum of 1-2 years of Payroll experience preferred
· Experience in Human Capital Management systems and Health Insurance would be beneficial but are not required.
SKILLS:
· Proficiency with computers, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Office Business
· Knowledge of basic office procedures
· Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions
· Excellent communication skills and ability to establish effective working and professional relationships
· Organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multitask with accuracy
· Apply duties in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner
· Must be able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner
· Ability to prioritize, act independently, work under deadlines and manage projects
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Monday – Friday - 8am to 5pm
On site in a professional office environment
Flexible Schedule with personal/family needs
No weekends
Ability to work off site in situations as needed
