Specialized Experience Requirements: One year of experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Analyzing information systems requirements such as equipment, facilities, supplies, personnel, and funds; 2) Identifying short/long range workload plans and goals, work schedules, priorities, performance, and training needs of subordinates; AND 3) Leading a team or project in support of maintaining, repairing, testing and screening computer equipment systems and associated commodities. Your specialized experience must demonstrate each of the following four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: leading others by setting the standards for the quality of work, even in the most difficult and/or high pressure circumstances; reviewing and editing work completed by others to ensure that the quality of work meets acceptable work standards; (2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. - Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with plans, policies, guidance, procedural standards, infrastructures, and/or architectures that establish the framework for the management of assigned IT systems.
- Ensure the optimum operation of systems and quality of services are not compromised as new systems are integrated and upgraded into the existing architecture.
- Analyze various problems basic to the organization, including the expenditure of mission funds within the organization.
- Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set priorities, and schedule completion dates.
