Clarification from the agency
U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Duties- Manages all aspects of the Pro Shop Operation, Tournament Operations and outside support operations (i.e. club storage, carts, starters/monitor and driving range operations) with direct supervision over the outside supervisor and the Pro Shop staff.
- Assigns employees to specific duties consistent with workload and program requirements. Ensures that the entire clubhouse facility and its surroundings are maintained in a neat and clean manner at all times.
- Receives and resolves difficult customer complaints and customer special requests. Coordinates with the General Manager and informs assigned employees of policy changes
- Supervises the planning, scheduling, coordinating and assists the event activity in all aspects of conducting an organizational, outside or golf course sponsored tournament to include registration, scoring and range and cart setup.
- Maintains a monthly update of this buying plan by producing open to buy accounts in each department/ provides necessary input to upper management on producing a budget for the operations under his direct supervision.

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Satisfactorily complete all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3 to include a Tier 1 background investigation and a physical examination.
- The ability to obtain (within first 6 months of employment) and maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification acquired through an American National Standards Institute is required (i.e., ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Program).
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Position will be required to work an uncommon tour of duty that may include rotating shifts, early mornings, days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications:- Incumbent must have experience in the overall management of a golf facility and in the supervising of at least one function of a golf facility, such as pro shop, sale administration, planning and scheduling tournaments or establishing administrative procedures and policies. The experience may have included funds accountability, requisitioning, and supply procedures.
- Must have experience in the Golf Handicap Information Network (GHIN) system and know all aspects of amateur golf rules and regulations.
- Must have knowledge of golf-related equipment and merchandise.
- Must have experience in all aspects of tournament operation.
- Must have ability to manage and maximize a tee-sheet.
- Must have the ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner.
Highly Preferred: In addition to the above, a highly preferred candidate will have:- At least 3 years of previous golf course management experience.
- Possess a Class A PGA membership.
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

- This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
- All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
- Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
- Incentives will not be paid.
