The FAA Program Assistant Chief Flight Instructor reports to the Chief Flight Instructor. The FAA Assistant Chief Flight Instructor must meet the minimum requirements of 14 CFR §141.36 and be listed in the Training Course outline (TCO) for the specific program for which they are the Assistant CFI.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
- The control and day-to-day management of all 141 flying activities related to their course.
- The supervision and standardization of all flight instructors.
§ Ensuring that the training provided is in compliance with the requirements of 14 CFR, the Training Course Outline and the applicable syllabus.
§ The scheduling of training requirements.
§ Ensuring the satisfactory integration of flight or synthetic flight training with ground training.
§ Supervising the progress of individual students.
§ The maintenance and amendment of operational and training documentation and ensuring the timely distribution of amended documents.
§ Ensuring the maintenance of appropriate experience, qualification and training records.
§ Fostering the highest degree of safety awareness throughout the organization and ensuring that safety considerations are given the foremost priority.
- Undertaking monthly checks of student training records to ensure that they have been completed correctly.
- Following up on any concerns or adverse comments in the training records.
- Promoting continuous improvement of the training environment, training procedures, policies and standardization.

Position requirements:
· FAA Certified Flight Instructor certificate with Rotorcraft-Helicopter and Instrument-Helicopter
· Must hold or be able to obtain a second-class (or higher) medical certificate
· Meet the requirements of 14 CFR §141.36 for designation as an assistant Chief Flight Instructor
· Be able to successfully complete a VFR and IFR Part 141 Designation and Proficiency Check with the FAA
· Has held a Flight Instructor Certificate for more than 2 years
· Turbine experience
· Ability to work well with others, in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional customer service
· Demonstrate and exercise sound judgment
Preferred qualifications:
· SFAR 73 (b)(5) endorsement for either the R-22 or R-44
· Robinson R-66 experience preferred
· Completion of the Robinson Helicopter Safety Course
