Job Description

U.S. Bank Asset Management (USBAM) is seeking a Client Relations Associate which is an integral role within our Client Services Group (“CSG”). Client Relations Associates interact with clients daily, serving their needs, answering any questions they may have, and initiate pro-active outbound calling efforts.

Client Relations Associates must be knowledgeable of USBAM products, associated services, and impart this knowledge to our clients. Typically, Client Relations Associates are the first line of client contact for transaction related service requests. Client Relations Associates should understand financial markets and how markets impact our products, services, and clients. Client Relations Associates work extensively and collaboratively with other members of the Client Service Group and the Relationship Management Team, with the goal of supplying superior client service that will enhance the client experience and grow assets in our programs and products. This position is expected to interact directly with clients, primarily through phone and email.

Job Responsibilities

Client communication with a focus on superior client service, including but not limited to:

  • Provide superior service to clients for requests received via inbound calls, email, or secure web-portal
  • Proactively reach out to clients via phone and/or email to address day-to-day account funding requirements or account updates
  • Actively participate in campaigns associated with marketing efforts, administrative clean-up efforts
  • Awareness of state specific investment statutes and how they may affect a client’s investment options
  • Provide an overview of USBAM’s products and services to clients and prospects
  • Understand the various reports sent to clients and have the ability to answer client questions relating to the reports
  • Demonstrate knowledge of equity and fixed income funds, short and intermediate term fixed income investments, and money market instruments
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of client needs and product utilization
  • Work with the Key Account Manager as a liaison between the Client Service Group and all other departments within the organization to achieve regional goals
  • Prepare client reports and other written communications
  • Receive incoming phone inquiries from existing clients, prospects, and marketing representatives and follow up with accurate and timely responses
  • Proactively generate outbound calls to existing clients promoting PFMAM’s products and services
  • Assist with updating client information with form processing through internal databases

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field
  • Candidates with 0-3 years of experience in the financial services industry with relevant internships and/or coursework will be considered for the Client Relations Associate role
  • Active FINRA Series 6 and 63 certifications required. Employees without active certifications must obtain these certifications within 6 months of hire date as a requirement of continued employment in these roles
  • Prior customer service, relationship management or sales experience with a demonstrated commitment to the establishment of efficient, top-notch customer partnerships
  • Ability to quickly learn complex concepts and seamlessly manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
  • Intrinsic sense of urgency, efficiency, and collaboration for interaction with clients, colleagues, and superiors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Actively listens to others
  • Ability to operate successfully in a team environment
  • Demonstrates unwavering integrity and instills confidence in others
  • Desire to improve processes, take initiative, and solve problems

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $66,640.00 - $78,400.00 - $86,240.00
