OVERVIEW

Working with our partners across the US and internationally, USCRI provides critical services to refugee and immigrant families to help them become self-reliant and contributing members of their communities.
The Major Gifts Officer will be responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, acknowledgment, and stewardship of a national portfolio of major donors, family and community foundations, and donor advised funds. The position will also support USCRI’s individual giving program and work with the VP of Strategic Development, Development Associate for Donor Services and Engagement, and Communications team to create and implement annual fundraising campaigns.
USCRI is growing its headquarters development team and aspires to grow and attract new donors and maximize the potential of its existing donor base. The Major Gifts Officer should be passionate about the mission of USCRI, be detail oriented and organized, and have experience engaging with donors on a personal level. The position will also require collaboration and team building across departments and work closely with the VP of Strategic Development to engage the CEO and Board of Directors in the cultivation of donors.
Essential Functions
- Manages a portfolio of 75-120 individuals and family foundations with the capacity to make major gifts, in accordance with goals on meetings, solicitations, donor retention, and CRM management.
- Develops strategies to upgrade current donors, identify and qualify new prospects, and personally cultivate and solicit high-level gifts.
- Identifies, cultivates, and builds relationships with Community Foundations, Donor Advised Funds, and Family Foundations.
- Serves as development liaison on major donor gifts to USCRI’s Field Office, offering fundraising oversight and developing regional strategies based on local donor base, opportunities, and obstacles.
- Collaborates with USCRI’s leadership team, program staff, board members to cultivate and solicit key donors.
- Supports USCRI’s individual giving program and works with the VP of Strategic Development, Development Associate for Donor Services and Engagement, and Communications team to create and implement annual fundraising campaigns.
- Utilizes USCRI’s CRM to record donor interactions and gifts, schedule follow-up meetings, and project revenue; create monthly and quarterly reporting.
- Travel to visit key individual donors as needed.
