Position Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting HR functions, including recruitment, employee records management, training coordination, workplace culture initiatives, and compliance with HR policies. This role also assists with safety compliance and collaborates on other HR-related projects. A successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in fostering a positive and compliant workplace environment. This position reports to the plant Human Resources Manager.
Position Responsibilities

- Supports the overall recruiting function by assisting with recruiting and hiring needs and onboarding activities, i.e. phone screening and interview scheduling.
- Facilitates New Hire Orientation and Welcome Tours to ensure smooth onboarding.
- Coordinates and attends career fairs, open houses, college campus events, and other recruitment opportunities.
- Maintains accurate employee documentation, including personnel files, contracts, and attendance records.
- Provides administrative support in payroll reporting and HR compliance tracking.
- Assists in maintaining HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
- Acts as a point of contact for associate inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Supports the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives
- Supports the implementation of safety programs, including conducting safety audits and plant walkthroughs.
- Tracks and maintains PPE inventory
- Creates, updates, and cancels site security access badges and alarm codes as needed.
- Assists with special HR projects and assignments as requested by the HR Manager and, on occasion, other members of the plant management team.
- Maintains bulletin boards and internal communications to keep employees informed.
- Provides support in processing and organizing HR documents and training records.
