What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counter Sales position at U.S. Electrical Services, Inc.?
The position of Counter sales Associate is responsible for all aspects of the sales counter including preparation of product for customer will calls, order taking and direct communication with customers while maintaining the counter appearance in a safe and orderly fashion.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in a prompt and timely manner at the counter, via email, and phone.
- Create sales orders, transfers and RGA’s.
- Keep Counter/Warehouse area clean and organized and all equipment is properly maintained.
- Service walk-in customers.
- Small project pricing and order processing.
- Effectively quote, place, assemble and process orders.
- Review all orders to determine if they were picked correctly.
- Proactively track orders in computer system for customer and processing efficiency.
- Expand customer base and grow counter sales and profits.
- General warehouse work, putting stock away, pulling will calls, and inventory preparations.
- Safely operate all necessary equipment in the work area.
- Other duties assigned by manager

- Product and application knowledge, including ability to read manufacturer catalogs
- Willing to learn and work in a team environment.
- Proficiency for data entry utilization of web browsers & internet search engines
- Basic mathematical calculations required to accurately complete assigned tasks (discounts vs. markup, etc.)
Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent
- Experience is a plus
- Ability to move/lift to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to withstand temperatures of a typical warehouse environment.
- Ability and desire to learn warehouse and company operations.
