DIRECTOR, QUALITY ASSURANCE
The Director of Quality Assurance leads and oversees all quality assurance and quality control activities across all regions, and leverages Trade Managers, Manufacturing Engineers and Project Management team members to preplan incoming work and oversee execution while motivating the Metalworks team to deliver quality products, on on-time, and safely.

DIRECTOR, QUALITY ASSURANCE

Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
- Leadership: The Director of Quality Assurance will engage the team through positive, informed communication, eliminate roadblocks, and streamline processes to result in an environment that team members enjoy contributing to. Collaborates with the USE family of company Leaders to achieve the overall USE goals by ensuring all products, processes, and systems meet or exceed quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Safety: Demonstrates a passion for safety in collaboration with the Safety/QA Managers to achieve “zero unsafe behaviors” and a shop culture of looking out for each other
- Culture: Drive a culture of quality and accountability by mentoring and training teams and engaging cross-functional groups in quality initiatives in alignment with USE Company Holdings Cultural Norms
- Performance (technical abilities):
- Direct and lead regional Quality Assurance Managers to ensure regional alignment and execution of the Quality Assurance Plan
- Performs Strategic review and planning of Quality Systems and Processes
- Reviews job-specific quality requirements and ensures compliance and regulatory requirements are met through documentation and quality processes
- Monitor manufacturing activities to ensure process and quality control requirements are met
- Works directly with customers to resolve quality issues and ensures customer satisfaction
- Utilize data and generate analytics to drive continuous improvement
- Community: Active in internal U.S. Engineering cross-company engagements and considers external philanthropic and industry events
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field required
- 10 years Quality Management experience is required
- In-depth understanding of quality management systems (QMS)
- Proficient in identifying and resolving quality issues to prevent recurrence
- Skill in developing and implementing quality standards that align with organizational goals
- Proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify trends, evaluate performance, and drive decision-making
- Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences, including customers, suppliers, and senior leadership
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and project management teams to ensure quality is integrated into all phases of operations
- Expertise in identifying, evaluating, and addressing quality challenges efficiently and effectively
- Ensure precision in quality reviews, documentation, and reporting
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, ensuring alignment with quality standards and deadlines
- Respond to evolving industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing quality concerns and ensuring satisfaction
- Anticipate and mitigate risks associated with quality control and assurance processes
- Work will be done in a combination of environments; including the manufacturing floor, office setting, job sites, etc
- It requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, keyboarding, use of a monitor and phone, occasional climbing, reaching, stooping, and lifting
- Travel requirements: An occasional flight and overnight stay may be required, as well as road travel required to execute the needs of this role effectively
- The range for this position has been established at $145,000 to $211,000 per year and is U.S. Engineering’s good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training
