JOB TITLE: Trust Service Associate

REPORTS TO: Trust Services Officer
DIVISION: GreatBanc Trust Company
Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000
GENERAL PURPOSE
The Trust Service Associate is an entry-level role designed to provide foundational experience in trust services. This position supports the daily operations of the trust department while developing a strong understanding of trust administration processes and procedures. Working closely with a Trust Services Officer, the associate will gain the knowledge and skills needed to grow into a more experienced role within the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Learn and Support Trust Operations
- Assist in processing daily trust transactions, including deposits, distributions, and wires.
- Work with the client service team and operations staff to register assets and retitle securities.
- Learn the process of opening and closing trust accounts while coordinating with operations staff.
- Assist with proper coding, research, and coordination of accurate tax processes.
2. Build Client Communication Skills
- Answer client inquiries and provide support under the guidance of a Trust Services Officer.
- Assist in preparing annual administrative review documentation for assigned clients.
3. Support Administrative Tasks and Projects
- Oversee scanning and filing of client and internal documents.
- Conduct quality control checks on client and internal documents.
- Participate in department projects and complete tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience in trust services or employee benefit plan operations is a plus but not required.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Basic understanding of cash management, record-keeping, and securities processing.
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in Salesforce or similar software.
