Summary You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (ER / LR) in the HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE (HRO) of MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT. Responsibilities You will resolve minor employee problems pertaining to employee conduct or performance dissatisfaction, poor work habits, tardiness and absences. You will conduct interviews to draw out and organize pertinent facts and consider alternate ways of solving problems. You will assist with providing guidance and support to the workforce with the DoD Performance Management Appraisal program. You will provide assistance in reviewing court cases and assist in the preparation of admonishment letters. You will review submissions to ensure regulatory compliance, such as appropriate signatures, timeliness, and rating. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-07 : Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-06) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector : Researching, interpreting, explaining, and / or applying regulations pertaining to employee relations and labor relations (e.g., overseas entitlements and allowances, leave administration, disciplinary actions, grievances, appeals, awards, performance management, indebtedness, financial assistance, et cetera). GS-06 : Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector : Assisting in researching, interpreting, explaining, and / or applying regulations pertaining to employee relations and labor relations (e.g., overseas entitlements and allowances, leave administration, disciplinary actions, grievances, appeals, awards, performance management, indebtedness, financial assistance, et cetera). Education Additional Information This position is eligible for ad-hoc / situational telework at the discretion of management. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
