Summary You will serve as a RECORDS & INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Nuclear Inspection Division (Code 139 - Administrative Branch) at PSNS and IMF. Responsibilities You will serve as the primary, principal Records Information Manager (RIM) for the department. You will be responsible, as RIM, to ensure Naval Nuclear Propulsion Records are meeting record management laws, regulations, rules, policies for the entire life cycle of the preserved record and disposition requirements. You will provide advice and guidance to records liaisons and records custodians on RIM lifecycle requirements. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, training and formulating policies for the use and maintenance of records. You will determine disposition cycles to achieve adequate and proper documentation of the policies and transactions of the organization for effective and economical management of agency operations. You will coordinate the proper disposition of records consistent with government wide policies and procedures. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications FOR GS-11 : Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : administering a records management program by recommending solutions for the entire life cycle phases (e.g., records creation, maintenance, use and disposition) to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. FOR GS-09 : Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : identifying procedures that improve the effectiveness and efficiency in the life cycle management (e.g., creating, retention, maintenance, processing, access, and disposition) of a records and information program to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience : GS-11 : Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
