About the Role:
U.S. Pipe is seeking a talented Social Media Coordinator in Birmingham, Alabama. This position is responsible for creating original text and video content, influencer identification and development, managing posts as well as engaging followers. The role manages our company image in a consistent way to achieve our marketing goals. The Social Media Coordinator is up to date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends, possessing excellent communication skills with the ability to express our company’s views creatively that resonate with our audiences. This position is able to lead our social media presence ensuring high levels of traffic and engagement.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Stay informed of current benchmark trends and audience preferences.
- Design and implement social media strategy to support marketing plans, align with brand standards, and further overall business.
- Set specific objectives and report on ROI.
- Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content frequently (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news).
- Collaborate with other teams, including marketing, sales and customer service to ensure brand consistency and accuracy of message.
- Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews.
- Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout).
- Identify and recommend opportunities for the paid component of the brands’ Facebook strategy.
- Suggest and implement new features to further affinity for our brand, like promotions and competitions.
- Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.
- Engage new and existing influencers to develop, share and cross promote content to increase brand followers.
Skills and Qualifications:
- B.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Communications or relevant field.
- One to two years’ work experience as a social media manager or supporting a social media manager.
- Hands on experience in content management.
- Excellent copywriting skills - strong attention to detail.
- Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video) that resonates.
- Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics.
- Knowledge of online marketing channels.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Analytical and multitasking skills.
