About the Role:
U.S. Pipe is seeking an Inventory Control Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the movement of products to and from the plant inventories and to assist in the annual inventory.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Performs cycle counts of the finished goods yard, gasket house, and accessories building.
- Utilize MS office, JD Edwards and Power-BI for various daily tasks.
- Proceed with packaging confirmations of previous day utilizing finished download report and JDE application.
- Performs tasks to balance loose pipe and any incorrect bundles from packaging bin (Extra labels, incorrect bundles, no label pipe, incorrect labels).
- Works with Q.C. yard inspectors to process any non-conforming pipe and product returns.
- Process inventory transactions using RTS applications and JDE.
- Document RTP transactions in spreadsheet (email RTP spreadsheet for the day to directed contacts at the end of the day) verify rework (RTP) movements in Cognos.
- Compare RTS inventory vs. JDE inventory, balance inventory appropriately to ensure accuracy.
- Process requested stock checks.
- Process requests to cover sales orders, coordinate with Shipping and Process Departments.
- Audit downgrades processed in finished goods and balance inventory.
- Perform Material switches when needed.
- Audit returned pipe on trucks, receive PRA or ICT in JDE.
- Advise when receiving transaction is complete.
- Print and apply labels for returned pipe and no label pipe in the yard.
- Perform Month-end closing duties as directed by supervisor.
- Perform monthly inventory counts of semi-finished product and distribute report.
- Support shipping related functions as directed by supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Three years’ experience working in Distribution and Inventory Management department or related area.
- Competency with RTS System and various RF devices such as handheld scanners and touch screen computers is a plus but not required.
- Basic understanding of bar-coding and product identification techniques.
