This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence - Terrorist Financing. As a Director Global Affairs, you will assist in identifying terrorist financing, money laundering, and other financial crime trends and methodologies as well as provide leadership to personnel by upholding the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethics.

Duties

As a Director Global Affairs, you will :

  • Manage Office of Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes (TFFC) regional team members and coordinate region-specific projects and taskings.
  • Collect, review, and analyze reports that impact policy or programmatic issues, including determining their quality and overall effectiveness and recognizing sensitive policy issues and apprising supervisor.
  • Prepare and present briefing papers, reports, statistical backup and other information that provide solid and logical justification on major program initiatives to Department and Departmental officials, various Federal, State, local and international agencies, industry officials and other organizations.
  • Encourage collaboration amongst team members to achieve TFFC's vision and mission.

RequirementsQualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE :

For the GS-15 , you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position is defined as demonstrated, working experience in ALL of the following :

  • Experience developing counter-illicit finance policies related to the implementation of international counter-illicit finance best practices and standards at the regional and national level; AND
  • Experience representing an agency or business in engagements with foreign governments, international organizations, and the private sector; AND
  • Experience working with the financial sector to further anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism policy priorities and goals; AND
  • Experience assessing the threat posed by illicit financial networks, presenting such assessments, and recommending policy options to senior executive-level officials; AND
  • Experience managing projects, leading teams, and mentoring staff in the preparation of briefing memoranda, talking points, and other written products for senior executive-level officials.
  • The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
