This position will be an integral member of the US Silica global sales team and will be responsible for directing all sales and managerial activities throughout North America for bleaching clays, mineral adsorbents, and filtration aids.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan for large North American key accounts that supports the Company's long-term volume and revenue goals. Manage the financials — work to put into place the appropriate strategies to achieve annual EBITDA, cash, volume and price goals.
- Manage key growth targets across all sectors. Ensure growth is targeted in alignment with plant capacities and strategic initiatives. Coordinate proper forecasting with plant on target ramp-up and ensure targets are properly captured in upcoming Budget.
- Coordinate with Business Development team on commercialization of new products. Cultivate targets and ensure product qualifications necessary for growth to accomplish Budget objectives.
- Lead the synergy development between DE and Bleaching Clay.
- Manage all revenue and pricing activity. Challenge pricing norms and work to secure sustainable increases. Understand competitive pricing and value propositions. Anticipate threats and develop ongoing plans to protect margins. Understand true cost evolutions at plants.
- Negotiate new and renew existing sales contracts. Identify vulnerable pieces of business to enter into long-term agreements with. Time renewals to minimize competitive threats. Work to ensure pricing mechanisms are in-place to cover increasing costs.
- Act as liaison between sales and operations. Ensure transparency into market conditions and report back into operations ongoing and emerging trends, potential demand drops and spikes and new products being commercialized.
- Develop monthly, quarterly and yearly sales forecasts. Drive accuracy improvements across business to allow efficient production scheduling and minimize delays caused by Un forecast demand.
