Position Description
The Accountant II is responsible for processing the organization’s accounts receivable and general ledger transactions timely and accurately.
U.S Soccer is currently building a National Training Center in Fayette County, GA. This role will be reporting to the office in Fayetteville, GA.
Primary Responsibilities
- Generate and track accounts receivable invoices
- Record and allocate payments received to appropriate accounts
- Reconcile customer accounts
- Collaborate with partnership teams to address customer billing inquiries
- Prepares assigned journal entries
- Prepares assigned account reconciliations
- Assists with Accounts Payables duties
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- 1-3 years of progressive experience in accounting with a focus in accounts receivable
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products and a Financial ERP systems
- Strong verbal, written and in-person communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organization skills
- General knowledge of soccer
- Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments
- Must be able to connect “micro” details to the “macro” vision and mission
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)

- Experience working at a non-profit, sporting organization, financial services, or public accounting firm
- Experience at a public accounting firm
