Position Description
The Sr. Coordinator of Partnership Development will provide support across the Partnership Development & Strategy team in our efforts to: 1) Drive new business in the form of new sponsors/partners of U.S. Soccer and 2) Create new platforms to help both existing and new partners connect directly with our fans and drive value for U.S. Soccer Federation.
The selected candidate will provide support to the team across the entire sales cycle process, ranging from initial industry research and category analysis efforts, to helping prepare for key sales/pitch meetings and ensuring we have a top-class hosting and gifting program for prospective partners of the Federation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support to the Partnership Development & Strategy team
- Support prospecting efforts across key open categories
- Conduct brand and market intelligence & research
- Support with planning all hosting, hospitality and gifting efforts for key prospects
- Attend sales/pitch meetings, create agendas and document minutes
- Manage logistics and scheduling of meetings where applicable
- Assist with creation of executive bios and brand briefs to support sales efforts
- Partner with internal departments (i.e., marketing, communications, digital media) to gather insights and assets for partnership presentations
- Support the Partnership Strategy team’s efforts with visual storytelling, data and insights, and platform development
- Collaborate with Partnership Marketing to ensure a seamless transition for new partners
- Support the National Training Center Partnership Development team throughout the sales process
- Attend select U.S. Soccer events to support Partnership Development efforts
- Perform other assignments or duties as required
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in partnership development, sales, or marketing (preferably within sports, entertainment, or media industries)
- High level of organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to craft compelling narratives and presentations
- Self-starter with an ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Have a proactive work ethic and strong desire to succeed
- General knowledge of soccer
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
