What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freezer Inventory Control Lead position at U.S. Waffle Company?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for building a well-trained team which is passionate about safety, quality, efficiency, and company success
· Utilize PLEX and mobile scanners to accurately maintain inventory and complete orders
· Knowledge and implementation of SQF, GMP’s, SOP’s, and HACCP, and other food process sanitation requirements.
· Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and to minimize shipping delays.
· Work effectively with Material Handlers, Production Management and shipping to ensure safe and accurate transfer of products from production to the storage freezer.
Meet or exceed company expectations for production performance to maximize sales
· Safely and efficiently transfer finished goods pallets to the correct location in the freezer.
· Working in freezer pulling orders.
· Daily, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment.
· Ensure the efficient stacking and storage of all products in the appropriate areas to prevent damage, ensure proper location and enable accurate FIFO selection for shipping from Freezer.
· Properly transport finish good pallets to appropriate freezer location and accurately scan finished goods ticket to the correct location.
Properly utilize labor resources to improve efficiency, minimize labor expense and reduce waste
· Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
· Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories. Ensure proper stock rotation.
· Ensure proper location scanning of all products in the freezer to maximize efficiency, ensure proper control of inventory and eliminate inventory adjustments.
· Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers.
· Move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, electric pallet jacks, or other power equipment.
· Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
· Ensure all pallets in the freezer are in the correct location, have accurate tickets and that all pallets are free of damage. Ensure there is no loose wood from pallets, plastic wrap or any trash left on floors to create safety issues.
Provide outstanding customer service to our partners
· Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report any quantity or quality variances to Shipping Manager.
· Report damaged pallets, damaged product, and incorrect locations.
· Ensure full rotation of products to insure first in, first out

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
· Must be willing to work over and / or weekends when needed
· Basic mathematical skills
*This position is responsible for ensuring that food safety is not compromised while meeting the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing and are responsible to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Physical and Safety Requirements:
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
· Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and all other food safety requirements
· Complies with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE’s) requirements
· Reports any food safety problems or potentially unsafe practices/conditions to lead or supervisor
· Constant walking and standing on hard concrete service
· Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, lifting and climbing
· Position will require working in very hot and cold conditions
· Other conditions include flour dust, wet floors, occasional smoke and fumes if product burns
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
