As a Principal, UX Copy Writer supporting Digital Health Team, you will be focused on simplifying life for vision care patients and professionals. A key component of this mission is our language, and we're seeking a talented individual to shape it across our digital platforms. You will closely collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and intuitive user experiences. Your will blend creativity and analytics to meet users’ needs, business requirements and technical accuracy to turn complicated medical concepts into meaningful, coherent, and intuitive UX copy across our digital portfolio.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Closely collaborate with designers, developers, and subject matter experts to ensure accurate and user-focused content.
• Write user-friendly, and engaging UX and UI copy e.g., UI labels, tooltips, onboarding instructions, system messages for our digital products.
• Organize, enhance, and drive adherence of a controlled vocabulary and content style guides to promote consistency across products.
• Support the product team with writing scripts for video tutorials, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
• Monitor and analyze content performance utilizing user analytics data to inform revisions.
• Writes and updates patient-facing explanations of care interventions that balance technical accuracy with accessibility.
• Support internal teams with copy writing for FAQs and Help sections.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 13 yrs; Assoc. 9 yrs; M.S. 2 yrs; PhD 0 yrs)
• 5 Years of Relevant Experience
• Portfolio showcasing examples of UX writing and/or technical documentation
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
• Travel requirements: up to 10%
