Job Description:
Performs certain technical patient care duties in the hospital as directed by the staff nurse such as oral suctioning, oxygen setup, trach care, Foley catheter care, venipuncture, pulse oximetry setup, ostomy care, specimen collection and EKGs.
Obtains and records vitals, weight, inputs, and outputs.
Orients patients to environment upon admission.
Assists patients with activities of daily living.
Demonstrates an awareness of patient and personal safety.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED required.
