The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Department of Urology Chair Office , is seeking a Researcher II.
General Responsibilities
Under minimal supervision:
- To set up and perform routine and established lab procedures in support of lab goals.
- To collect, enter and summarize data.
- To monitor results and report unusual outcomes.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Conducts basic science research. Breed animals and maintain colonies.
- Processes human samples. Data collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation.
- Prepares reports/data in the prescribed format.
- Writes and edits manuscripts and abstracts as needed.
- Collects Data for assigned projects.
- Analyzes data in a timely fashion, maintain data records, and organize data for presentations.
- Presents data in informal and formal meetings with the PI and/or laboratory members.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Hourly Salary Range $15.50 - $16.82
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- OR Associate's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience
- OR High School diploma or GED and four (4) years of related experience
Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Preferences
- Research experience with cell culture and animals.
