Position Summary:
As a Researcher Technician, this entry-level position will play a pivotal role in supporting team operations within a dynamic research environment. Under the guidance of managers, team leads, or senior technicians, you will conduct routine tests/measures and assist in various research endeavors.
Your responsibilities will include aiding investigators or senior researchers in conducting studies and procedures encompassing tasks such as data collection, solution preparation, and equipment setup and maintenance. Depending on the research focus, this position may involve research participant contact, research animal contact, and/or specimens
With instruction and occasional assistance from Instructor or Postdoctoral fellow, set up and perform routine and established lab procedures in support of lab goals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and performs routine and established lab procedures in support of lab goals such as conduct cell/tissue culture
- Cares for animals in research studies by performing IACUC approved monitoring procedures
- Collects, enters, and summarizes data for presentation.
- Perform qPCR and conduct DNA and RNA extraction.
- Assists in the maintenance and troubleshooting of lab equipment and supplies.
- Performs basic statistical data analysis.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Salary Range: $15.00 - $17.00
High School or GED required. Previous research experience or coursework preferred.
