The Team Lead is responsible for the direct supervision of all procurement transplant coordinators assigned to their team. Such supervision will include scheduling, approving vacation requests, annual and on-going evaluation of job performance, review of deviation trends, and escalation of performance concerns to the Clinical Manager and possibly the Director, OWS. This individual will be expected to participate in the PTC call schedule and perform all responsibilities associated with the PTC role. Team Leads will provide input to the Clinical Manager and Director, OWS to aid the department in developing, implementing, and monitoring strategic initiatives related to referral response, donation rate, and organ utilization.
Position Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: Must possess qualifications and licensure for one of the following: CRT, RRT, RN, CRNP or PA. Minimum 18 months experience as a procurement transplant coordinator (PTC) with skills necessary to perform all PTC duties including donor management, organ allocation, import allocation, organ recovery and fly-outs. Current CPTC certification. Procurement coordinator experience can substitute for licensure requirement.
Preferred: Bachelors or Masters level education in a healthcare-related field of study. Knowledge or experience with policy, procedure, and regulatory issues governing organ procurement.
License, Certification And/Or Registration
Required: Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured.
