What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Advocate Advanced Technician position at UAB St. Vincent's?
We Are Hiring
- Department: Pharmacy
- Schedule: 7 on/7 off; Monday - Sunday; 8:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.
- Hospital: UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham - Downtown
- Location: Birmingham, AL
Must be certified through ALBOP and nationally certified.
What You Will Do
Perform activities or tasks in specialty pharmacy services. Perform specialized areas as medicine history, buyer and other inventory related areas, nuclear, and PAP as a pharmacy technician.
- Refill and maintain automated dispensing system.
- Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the specialty pharmacy areas.
- Repackage bulk medications.
- Receive and store incoming supplies.
- Serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing necessary information
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Alabama Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
