The Sr. Manager of the Warehouse will be responsible for spearheading service goals by overseeing warehouse team members, daily operations and leveraging resources for the effective and efficient completion of daily tasks.
The role is to support and provide leadership to warehouse team members. The role is accountable for the overall leadership of their facility and their provision of real, measured, and sustained business results to their customers. This role includes accountability for safety in all operations, the retention and growth of the customer and the maintenance of contract deliverables for cost, quality, and timeliness within established financial performance goals.
Through the relentless pursuit of continuous improvement, warehouse operations are driven to new levels of performance that result in real, measured and sustained business results directly to the customer.
Priorities: As the leader of warehouse, the provision of an employee-oriented, high performance safety culture is solidly integrated as an essential, high priority ingredient for success.

What The Candidate Will Do
- Perform accurate people management practices, leadership and coaching in order to achieve and exceed specific department goals
- Assure that essential warehouse processes are executed accurately
- Proactively identify and communicate issues, propose and implement solutions for continuous improvement in the regards to processes, cost, service and profitability
- Actively resolve conflict and problem solve
- Develop and distribute customer reports and internal performance management reports
- Monitor and hold team accountable for all key job functions
- Assure maintenance to the facility, develop and manage external providers to maintain on good conditions and safety
- Implementation and control of all safety and security conditions normed
- Deliver cost savings / cost containment to customer and / or Uber Freight
- Determine eligibility for additional non committed freight to be awarded to internal brokerage services and actively support and encourage the awards
- Review, analyze and understand matters related to P&L
- Zero workplace accidents, injuries, illnesses and deaths
- Compliance to safety documentation and escalation processes
- 100% customer goals and objectives achieved through executable strategies
- Minimum monthly Executive Review with customer outlining delivered value, upcoming projects, and roadblocks to success
- Management of Key Performance Indicators with clear targets for improvement and the execution of corrective actions /problem solving for metric deviations
- Articulate in writing, and agreed upon by the customer, tangible business results/value delivered by Uber Freight
- Intimate customer relationship where expectations are understood, measured and exceeded. 100% of issues are responded to with a high sense of urgency
- Zero service non-delivery to the customer (backed up with a contingency plan/business continuity plan covering all eventualities)
- Compliance to service failure escalation and communication processes
- Strong understanding of Voice of Customer (VOC) to drive improvements from all customer interactions
- An annually refreshed strategic plan focused on the development of efficient/effective Warehouse Operations strategies, people, processes, tools and technologies
- Best practice sharing and collaboration with other Uber Freight warehouse operations and divisions
- Evaluate new business opportunities from the customer by completing pricing analysis and risk summary proposals
- Roles, accountabilities, goals, objectives and priorities clearly defined for each Team Member and linked to performance
- Executing and enforcing Uber Freight policies and procedures
- Improved service, quality and productivity through functional improvements closely coordinated with the Director of Warehouse Operations
- Execute operations following the facilities management system guidelines
- Budget management: Manage monthly budget and P&L to ensure alignment to the customer forecast and Uber Freight’s financial targets. Annually refresh facility budget and resource plan that is reviewed and signed off in writing by the customer
- Document and communicate monthly staffing requirements and needs
- Review and approve all expenses with assignment to the proper general ledger code
- Review and approve all invoices prior to 100% on-time submission per the customer specific time requirements
- Minimal travel could be required based on customer need and requests
- 7 years of warehouse experience
- 3 years of people management experience
- Working knowledge and utilization, warehousing systems (WMS) and inventory management
- OSHA and warehouse safety basic knowledge
- Knowledge of Microsoft tools
- Shift flexibility may be required, including weekends or overtime.
